WALKING by the WORD
How blessed are those whose way is blameless,
Who walk in the law of the LORD.
Psalms 119:1
_______
Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name. Psalms 86:11 NASB
Everyone walks through life by a set of principles which dictate how we live or lives. These principles are the result of the environment we live in. Once we become a Christian we should no longer be influenced by the ways of the world. We should make it a point to be influenced by the word of God. The psalmist sets the example by first praying to be taught the way of the Lord, His principles, and in turn he vows to walk by those principles. The goal of the emails is to encourage others to do the same thing by gleaning guiding principles from the Bible to help us walk through life.
_______
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NASB
God gave us the Word to prepare us to do His good work which is played out in our righteous living. The way we live and act, will show those around us the love of Christ. In order for us to be properly equipped we must take adequate time to read and study the word of God for ourselves. With the busyness of life this is easier said than done. These emails are to encourage us to take the time so that individually we can grow, live, and walk by the Word so that His good works may be displayed through us.
